Buy PAR Material in a range of sizes at Wooden Supplies What does PAR mean?
PAR is planed all round timber. This means the sawn boards are planed down to a smooth finish on all sides making the wood easier to work with, less likely to get any splinters. This means the timber is easier to paint to a nice finish. PAR Materials are a good general purpose timber for use in all forms of DIY and home construction. Manufactured from a premium joinery grade Scandinavian Redwood, which has been slow grown, making it less prone to movement once used. Our PAR Materials have also been kiln dried ensuring a low moisture content, which also helps to ensure the stability of the timber boards. However if you do wish to use these timbers outside they can be painted, stained, waxed or varnished to protect them from the elements. Alternatively you could use a pre-treated board for external use such as our C16 timber range. The sizes shown to order are the finished size of the board once it has been planed and the prices shown are per liner meter prices.
